In its elegant simplicity, the estate of Villa Ugo reveals the traditional characteristics of Tuscan architecture and culture.
The geographical location of Villa Ugo makes it especially unique: located in what is known as the "Golden Valley," it looks out over the unspoiled natural wonders of the Valdichiana Valley and is the perfect departure point for visiting nearby Umbria and locations in Tuscany.
Located in the countryside, Villa Ugo rests on the same hillside slopes as the town of Cortona, one of the most appreciated tourist destinations in Tuscany and within walking distance, thanks to an ancient Roman path.
Villa Ugo is divided into three characteristic estates that were once inhabited by the farmers who took care of the land. In recent years, thanks to careful and judicious renovations led by Ugo, the head of the household, the family transformed the properties into luxury villas equipped with all modern amenities that also preserve the style and history of the past.
During your stay in one of these three, strategically situated, independent villas — Villa Liliana, Villa Nello, and Villa Orlando — you will be able to enjoy both the peace of the Tuscan countryside and nearby destinations. The Sabatini family will welcome you personally to the estate and are always available to make sure that your stay will be unforgettable.
In 2015, the family decided to explore their shared passion for gin, and a new project at Villa Ugo became a reality. The result is Sabatini Gin, the perfect blend of flavors, aromas, dreams, and history. Made with botanicals grown principally on the family estate and surrounding areas, Sabatini London Dry Gin represents a complete and top-notch expression of the terroir.
This gave rise to The Gin Room: a cocktail bar carved out of the old "limonaia," the winter garden where lemon trees were stored. Here, guests are welcome to enjoy tastings and other events related to the world of cocktails and mixed drinks.
